Our Agency Information Guide

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requires that the ISJO maintain an Agency Information Guide.

This guide is reviewed each year.

The ISJO addresses the requirements of the Act through the provision of a comprehensive range of information on our website about the statutory environment in which we operate and the policies and procedures we have in place to guide our operations.

Our website also provides, on our homepage, links to the websites of our Member Councils.   These Member Council website links are accessed by clicking on the LGA name on our homepage map.

Each of the Member Council websites provides very comprehensive responses to statutory requirements in regard to public access to information.

The content of our Agency Information Guide can be found in a range of pages on our website.

The links below will guide you to specific information on our role, structure, plans, policies and procedures.

Very detailed guidance is provided via our Policy Manual link.

Please note that, as a Joint Organisation under the Local Government Act, the Illawarra Shoalhaven Joint Organisation does not have responsibilities or powers in relation to land registers, plans and policies for approvals, management of community land and environmental planning instruments.

GIPA Annual Reports

All agencies subject to the GIPA Act must report, in accordance with Clause 8 of the Government Information (Public Access) Regulation 2018, information and data on their obligations under the GIPA Act.  This reporting is undertaken annually.

The ISJO has received no formal applications for information under the Act and Regulation.
