A strong, resilient and engaged Illawarra Shoalhaven region can be achieved through systemic improvements with plans, resources and technologies that integrate with and assist in embedding local strategic outcomes.

The Shoalhaven Illawarra Enabling Regional Adaptation Report (2019) outlines seven key vulnerable systems and identifies priority pathways to improve adaptive capacity.  The regions vulnerabilities have been highlighted with the ISJO working in collaboration with communities, local Councils, industry and business, State agencies and the Federal Government to reduce risks from these systems:
