Regional Strategic Weed Management Plan 2023- 2027

The South East Regional Weed Committee, in consultation with Local Land Services staff, NSW Department of Primary  Industries and local councils, have developed a new five year Regional Strategic Weed Management Plan to focus on managing and controlling priority weeds across SE NSW.

The SE regional plan:

• identifies weeds of state and regional priority
• states the minimum control requirements to satisfy biosecurity duties established under the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015
• outlines what is required of government agencies, community groups and individual landholders in relation to preventing, eliminating or minimising the biosecurity risk for priority weed species.

The plan establishes priorities for weed management as well as strategies and actions to be implemented based on the principle of shared responsibility, sustainable landscapes, collaborative leadership and innovation.
